The Metalocal Mindset

Our Metabook ‘The Metalocal Mindset’ is about the mindset where social presence is considered and felt to be independent of physical presence. This concept is one the core findings of a recent research project we carried out together with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

Cultivating a metalocal mindset opens up expanded local and global opportunities for collaboration, community and inclusion. It makes the world larger and smaller at once! This is beautiful and exciting.

For business it is a key factor helping businesses overcome the friction caused by teams being distributed, and allows organizations to fully leverage the advantages of hybrid and remote models. A metalocal mindset eliminates proximity bias and unlocks spontaneity in professional and social communication across locations, leading to improved problem solving, innovation capabilities and resilience.

Our Metabook includes text, illustrations and video, and is also a dynamic, living document that will grow with time as new topics and authors are added.
